H1N1 Robbed Him of His Final Game!

Image
The Roy-Black Jr. Mite’s are undefeated (9-0). They play Brigham City-Purple today at Roy High School at 2:00 pm to determine who the champions are! What a fun game it will be. I’m so excited for them. My son, who was a first string player, will be home on day 8 with H1N1. What a sad day it will be for him! I hate to see him sick, losing weight, getting weak! H1N1 robbed him of his final game, which he deserves to be playing!

In September we went on vacation to Parade Rest Ranch located in Montana, west of the West Yellowstone entrance . The best part was going on this trip with my sister and her family. We loved it and can't wait to go again.

Day 2 - Parade Rest Ranch, MT

The funnest part of this vacation was riding horses in the mountains. However, in order for my daughter to go on the trail rides she had to turn 8 real fast. Basically, I taught her to lie and boy did she play it up. The first night we were there she told her younger cousin how she would be going on the trail rides because she was 8 years old! Sure enough her cousin, who is very smart, knew my daughter wasn't 8 years old and was puzzled by her statement. I didn't realize how sore a person can get from riding horses. I guess I thought the saddle was soft and found out otherwise. My bum got sore right away. My daughter must have had a sore bum too, because she said she wanted a pillow under her saddle during one of the rides! My daughter was funny while riding the horses. She said every horse command you can think of: Giddy-up, Yee Haw, Tally Hoe, Whoa, Yah and clicked. She had me laughing most of the ride. She even had the horse galloping a couple of times. My son on the other h...

Day 3 - Parade Rest Ranch and Yellowstone National Park

My children started their morning off fighting. They were on the bed when my daughter threw my son's watch towards the puppy, who was on the floor. My son got mad and pushed my daughter off the bed, and she landed on the puppy. Poor Lily was crying in pain and would not put her front left paw on the ground. I was mad at my children for fighting causing Lily to get hurt. My brother-in-law came over to our cabin and checked our puppy's leg. He didn't think her leg was broke, but I couldn't stand hearing Lily cry, and felt I had to take her to the vet. The nearest vet that was open on a Sunday was up in Bozeman, Montana, and 80 miles away. The whole drive up Lily cried and whined. My son kept putting his hands over his ears and at the vet he cried. My daughter asked me why he was crying, which I thought was strange of her to ask. Didn't she get it, the puppy was hurt and my son felt guilty about causing her the pain! The vet said she had a soft tissue injury and gave h...
