My Adventurous Life

My daughter had a hard time at school this past week. She came home from school on Monday with this behavior report from her P.E. teacher. And on Thursday her classroom teacher met me at the end of the day to tell me she had been misbehaving all week long and I needed to talk with her. On the way home from school I asked my daughter what happened and she started to cry. I ended up lecturing her and giving her the same speech my father gave me when I was young. I told her when she misbehaves in class she is stealing time from her teacher and her classmates. I reminded her that stealing is a commandment. She stopped crying and said: Mom everyone sins you know. I raised my voice and told her I better never hear about her misbehaving in school anymore and she better pray to Heavenly Father for help. My sister asked what my children do in Wendover, NV. In the summer they swim, but this is what the do in the winter! And I scrapbook while my friends all gamble! We all meet in the evening for dinner and again in the morning for brunch. It's a nice get away and the motel room is free, so we go!

I woke up Saturday morning and looked out the window to see a blizzard. Yuck! I went back to bed, but my children on the other hand couldn't wait to get out in the snow and play. My friend helped my children build this cool snow fort! I only went outside to take a few pictures and then ran back inside.

I got this laptop for Christmas and it is already broken! My wooden snowman decided to take a flying leap off the top of my desk and nose dived right into the LCD screen. Apparently the LCD screen is the most expensive part to fix on a laptop! I didn't have an accidental warranty on it and found out it would cost too much to fix! What a bummer...I am so sad!

I came home from water aerobics the other night to find this in my bed! My son makes me laugh so hard. Where was I supposed to sleep? Apparently his bed wasn't big enough for him and his buddies so they invaded mine. LOL!!!

This is what my daughter's bookshelf looked like the other day! She was angry at me for taking a picture and tried to stand in front of it. LOL!

Hey, look what I bought the other day! Macey's Grocery store now sells food storage items, so I thought I would buy some. My plan this year is to get prepared for hard times! Hopefully, I can continue to gather more items this year and build up a good supply. The economy is scary right now, and I'm not sure what the future holds! I would rather be prepared, just in case!

My children are two different people. My son LOVES all of his stuffed animals and wants to sleep with ALL of them! My daughter on the other hand is fine sleeping with just one! My daughter loves to tease her brother by hiding some of his favorites, and even goes so far as telling him they are only stuffed animals and not real. This upsets him and makes him cry every time. LOL!

My children love playing arcade games. I think they are a waste of money, but enjoy seeing my children happy, so I will let them play a few games now and then. The other day my son attended a birthday party at Fat Cats, so I let my daughter play a few games.

Here is a picture of my new desk, which is located in my bedroom. It will mainly be used for scrapbooking. If you have been to my house, you know I already have a beautiful scrapbook armoir in my living room, but I wanted something in my bedroom too! A girls' gotta have a comfortable place to scrapbook, no matter where she is! LOL! My son had a perfect report card for 2nd quarter. For his reward he chose miniature golf. We went to Fat Cats and golfed on this pirate themed glow-in-the-dark miniature golf course! It went by too fast and wasn't worth the money, but my children still had a lot of fun.

My daughter had a super report card for 2nd quarter. For her reward she chose swimming. Because it is winter, we went to an indoor pool. The night we went it was really foggy outside, so I took a picture of my children before we went in the building. We all had a blast swimming and can't wait to go again!
