Sorry, but this post has a LOT of pictures! Maybe it will inspire you to go on vacation to Arches National Park, UT. Our Grand Canyon trip was cancelled, but we were packed and ready to hike...so we decided to still go on vacation (where we could hike). We didn't have much time to plan, so we went somewhere close. We choose Arches National Park and since I like to take bathes every day, we stayed in a motel rather than camp. My children are the best hikers. They went on some difficult hikes and surprised me. I want to take them on a lot more hikes, but need to lose weight, so I can keep up with them! The first hike we went on was the to the Delicate Arch. I have been on this hike so many times, but it would be a first for my children. While on the hike my daughter mentioned her toes were squished. I took a look at her shoes and thought the shoes looked to small. Dang it, her feet had grown and I didn't even think to check if they still fit in the shoes. Now it was too late and ...

The neighbor boy got a BB gun for his birthday. I don't know why his mother would buy him a gun when he has previously been in trouble with the law! My house wasn't the only one that was hit! I can't wait to see what damage he will do next! Just kidding....I wish they would just move away or find him the help he needs so he's not in trouble all the time!

Had it not been for the recent outbreak of the Swine Flu (H1N1 Influenza) we would have been heading down to the Grand Canyon today! And tomorrow we would have hiked 10 miles down the canyon to our camp ground by Havasu Falls. However, the Havasupai Tribe doesn't want us coming down and they closed the reservation side of the Grand Canyon off from the public. Dang it! We are so disappointed! We bought clothes, camping supplies and freeze dried food for this trip. I got leave scheduled off from work and my children were not expected back to school until the following Tuesday. My daughter had already started working on homework for while she was on vacation. I have always wanted to hike the Grand Canyon and now I will have to wait some more. My brother-in-law said he was planning another trip later this year, so maybe I will still have a chance or maybe I'll just wait until next year.

I had a scrapbook retreat in Eden, UT. This time my girlfriend (that I usually scrapbook with) was unable to attend, so another friend of mine brought my children up and they all stayed the night with me. My children love hanging out at motels. They would do it every weekend if they could!

This whole Pinewood Durby ordeal stressed me out! I remember the day my son came home from cub scouts with a block of wood and four wheels! I thought how in the heck am I supposed to help him turn that into a car! I called his den leader, but didn't get the answer I wanted! My girlfriend agreed to help him, but she herself had no idea what the rules were and had to take him to the scout store to find a weight and look at other items for the car. She decided to have him work slowly on his car doing a little each day. She knew it was too much for a child to complete all in one day. Anyhow, my son nearly didn't get his car made in time for the Pinewood Durby! He missed three weeks of scouts and when he finally was able to go again he was told to have his car at the church by 7 pm that day, so it could be weighed! Talk about stress. My girl friend had to hurry and help him complete his car. He wanted to re-sand his car and add another coat of paint and numbers. However, because he ...

It will cost $200 to fix my Fugi S5000 camera, and that's only to fix the flash. My battery cage is broke too. I have been using a large rubber band to keep it closed. Here is a picture of the camera I'm looking at now:
