My Adventurous Life

Before we left Parade Rest Ranch we went on one last trail ride. The view on top of the mountains was amazingly beautiful. Even though riding a horse caused pain, we still enjoyed it! We also went back into Yellowstone to see a few of the hot pots and geysers. My sister and her children came with us, which made it even more fun! This trip was a blast. My children will always remember the fun trip they took with their cousins. Such great memories we now have. We look forward to going on another trip to Parade Rest Ranch with my sister and her cute family!

My family of three is now a family of four...Mom, brother, sister and now puppy! The puppy can be like having another child. She requires all the same things as a baby, except the puppy also requires special grooming. The good thing is she doesn't shed, but she can get cold. Now we have to look for a sweater or top to keep her warm during the winter months.

It is a family tradition to go to the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus every year. It always comes to town around my son's birthday and this year we went on his birhtday, so it felt like his own special birthday party! We never get bored of the circus. I love how the show changes every year. This year's theme was magic and they did a lot of magic tricks, which my son thoroughly enjoyed. We all had a great time.

My son just turned 9 years old. Wow, I can't believe how fast those 9 years have come and gone. In 9 more years he will be an adult and on his own. It makes me sad thinking about that! I can remember the first time I was told I was going to have a son. I was a little disappointed, because I had planned to run to the store and buy a blessing dress that I had my eye on. Well, the dress was no longer an option, but I love my son more than you could ever imagine. He has brought great joy to my life. He is such a spiritual boy and he keeps me on the right path as if to say; "Hold fast to the rod Mom, you are almost there." My son is intelligent, athletic, very lovable and easy to raise! My life would definitely be boring if he was not in it! My son got a telescope for his birthday. Currently he wants to be an astronaut and a scientist. Maybe one day his dreams will come true and instead of looking at the moon he will be on the moon looking back at the earth! My son is such a s...

It's was 100 degrees during my son's first football game of the season. I don't know how those boy's can stand playing in this heat! I can hardly stand to sit and watch when it is this hot. It is far too hot for me! My son played an awesome game. He played both offense and defense where he played nearly the entire game. The score was 32-Roy and 0-Clinton. Roy had even made two additional touch-downs the referees threw out due to flags and penalties called, otherwise they would have slaughtered them by even more than they did. Way to go Roy!

Lily was looking a little wild so we scheduled a puppy shampoo and cut. She had her first haircut today. The lady at PetsMart said she sat quietly and did very well for a new puppy. Now she smells yummy and her fur is satiny soft. And look how cute she is with bows in her hair!

Where did summer go? I can't believe my children are back in school already. I feel like we didn't go camping enough...darn it! My children are happy to be back in school with all of their friends. My daughter has an awesome teacher (My son's teacher from last year), so I'm excited and I know she will be able to handle my wild child. My son's teacher is new to us, so we will have to see how she pans out and if she will be able to keep my son on track and from being bored! I hope this will be another fun and exciting school year for them.
