Birthday Fun in Las Vegas

I had a blast in Las Vegas celebrating my birthday! My children and I love it there and enjoy a yearly Las Vegas trip. My children surprised me on my birthday with special Birthday cards they had made at home. It made the day even more special.
We stayed at Mandalay Bay on the strip. We love their big wave pool! We woke up early each day and headed out to the pool and played until late afternoon. The lounging chairs at the wave pool were in sand, which my children loved playing in and made it feel like you were at a beach!
The life guards were cranky everyday and were blowing whistles, shouting and herding people in different directions. We decided they were preparing for their future prison guard jobs. They continually made us walk out to the 4 feet to wait for the waves. They expected us to stay out there the whole time. However, once the pool was packed they had little to no control. They would make everyone stand beyond a blue line (located in the 4 feet) and once the wave started(every 90 seconds) we would all run away from the blue line and dive into the water in front of the wave. If we timed it just right the wave would pull us to the edge of the pool. It was a lot of fun! I felt like a teenager playing in the wave pool.
We loved the lazy river too. It had a fast moving current so we didn't even need tubes. One corner of the lazy river had a really fast pull and it would spin us around really fast. That corner became our favorite part of the lazy river!
On my birthday we ate dinner at the Rain Forest Cafe. My children love all the animated animals they have on display moving and making sounds. I had the best dinner and we all shared a yummy desert. After dinner we walked down the strip to Treasure Island and seen a Cirque Du Soleil show called Mystere. It was awesome!
Another night we walked over to Excalibur and went to a dinner show called the Tournament of Kings. My daughter was hilarious. She was cheering for the horses, not the Kings! She was very entertaining and that made us all laugh!
