Temple Square

Every December my children and I visit Salt Lake City's Temple Square during the evening to enjoy their wonderful light display. This year we decided to go during the daylight hours instead, which wound up being so much better! I think we may do this every year!

Usually in the evenings, at this time of year, Temple Square is packed with people. As a result, my children are never able to get a close view of the large Nativity and we never even attempt to go in the building housing the Christus because it is usually wall-to-wall people.

This time we missed seeing all the lights and didn't get to hear choirs singing, but we were able to see everything else and not have anyone standing in our way or shuffling through a crowd! It was great. Also, the day we went the sun was shining and it warmed us up!

What great pictures! We got to do a 'drive-by' of the lights on Temple Square this year at Thanksgiving time - it was SO crowded and we had tired kids so we weren't going to tackle that one! I wish we lived closer so we could have found a better time to take them!

Thanks for the link to Macmama's baby bump pic, that's just too cute!

Hope you're having a great week - take care!
